Trump claimed that $19.2 trillion had been invested in the US in just one year of his current presidency. This figure is false. The White House’s own website cites $10.6 trillion in major investment announcements, which itself is an exaggeration. A CNN review found that the White House counted vague pledges, including bilateral trade and economic exchange, not actual investment. Federal data shows new foreign direct investment in the US was about $232 billion in 2025.
Factory Construction
Trump stated that the US has the largest number of plants being built in history. However, federal data shows manufacturing construction spending has declined during his second term, dropping about 28% from May 2024 levels.
Election Claims
